Murphy staff have developed clear and consistent behavior expectations for our students. This include guidelines for how our students are expected to act in the classrooms, in the hallways, in the bathrooms, at lunch and at recess (available below). Through development of these expectations, a voice level chart was also developed to help students visualize and understand the situations in which different levels of talking may be appropriate (also available below).
Our expectations charts are posted in school hallways and in each classroom, so staff and students may easily refer to them.
We have had a positive response from both staff and students with regard to our expectations and are looking forward to utilizing them for years to come.
