Do you have a student eligible for kindergarten attendance for the 2020-21 school year? Children must be five years of age on or before September 1, 2020. Anyone seeking to enroll a student in the district must present: the student's birth certificate (original or certified copy issued by the County; hospital copy not accepted) and the parent/guardian's valid passport or photo ID (driver’s license or state-issued ID).
Kindergarten pre-registration for the 2020-21 school year will be done online. The previously scheduled in-person kindergarten registration event has been canceled due to the Governor's stay-at-home order in response to COVID-19. Children currently enrolled in the blended preschool program need not attend, but will need to complete returning student registration. Contact the school your child will attend for information about kindergarten open house at the start of the school year.
At the time of registration, you will complete a registration form; home language survey; and field trips, photographs, and videos permission form. You will also be given physical, dental, and vision examination forms. Physical examinations, dated within one year prior to entrance, by a licensed physician, are necessary for entry into kindergarten. Documentation of all immunizations, with exact dates must be provided. A dental exam by a licensed dentist, as well as a vision examination by a licensed eye doctor, is also required. Proof of the above requirement must be presented before the first day of school. Additional information can be found in the Health Services section of the district website.
